About

Ulonda Lanier began her nursing career in 2007 as a bedside nurse in an Oncology unit, where she discovered a deep passion for guiding patients and families through some of their most challenging moments. In 2010, her dedication and leadership potential led to a promotion to Clinical Manager, followed by her advancement to Nurse Manager of the Oncology unit in 2017. Throughout her career, she has navigated the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, adapting to advances in medical technology, shifting patients demographics, and systemic changes in care delivery. She has led her team through increasing patient acuity, higher patient to nurse ratios, and the growing demands of documentation brouht on by electronic health records, all while safeguarding time for meaningful patient interactions. Her leadership has been especially vital in addressing the emotional and operational challenges inensified by staffing shortages, burnout, and the pandemic. She is a strong advocate for structural support, adequate staffing, and mental health resources for nurses. Known for fostering a culture of compassion, collaboration, and clinical excellence whether with patients, families or those that she lead. She empowers her team to deliver the highest standard of oncology care.
