About

She is, first and foremost, a devoted mother and partner, a supportive sister and daughter, and a cherished friend. Her life is also enriched by two beautiful doodles who bring joy to her home.

Raised in the suburbs of Toronto, her distinguished nursing career began in Canada in 2000. Her early professional life saw her serving the community with the Victoria Order of Nurses and contributing to public health by administering immunizations for the Region of Peel.

She then found her true calling in Labor and Delivery, a dynamic field where she quickly became a well-rounded expert. Initially trained in postpartum and antepartum care, she soon cross-trained into labor and delivery, mastering the full spectrum of care for pregnant women. This role demanded not only clinical skill in triaging and laboring patients, circulating and scrubbing in the OR, but also immense compassion, particularly when supporting families through the profound sadness of loss.

Throughout her career, she has held positions of leadership, including being in charge of her unit, and has dedicated herself to training countless new nurses, often learning alongside the "fabulous nurses" she encountered. Her commitment to education extends to her own continuous learning and professional development.

Her diverse experience also includes working in the Emergency Room, where quick thinking and broad medical knowledge are paramount. She has provided invaluable support to new parents, helping mothers learn to breastfeed and teaching fathers how to change diapers. In the NICU, she tenderly cared for the most vulnerable patients, stepping in to care for infants when their parents had to be elsewhere.

She bravely worked throughout the pandemic, demonstrating unwavering dedication during a global health crisis. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has embraced the privilege of caring for multiple generations of families, offering holistic support. Her patients know her as someone who consistently goes above and beyond to connect them with the resources they need.

Embracing Mental Health Care

Now, she has embarked on a new, crucial chapter as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She is deeply devoted to helping people and embracing the critical need for accessible mental healthcare. A significant part of her mission involves treating a diverse community while actively working to combat the stigma that often accompanies individuals seeking mental health treatment and managing their illnesses.

Despite her extensive accomplishments, she remains deeply grounded. She readily acknowledges that she is human, far from perfect, and is humbled by daily experiences, which only deepens her empathy and commitment to her patients.
