What do you attribute your success to?
- My grandmother was a nurse at Mt Auburn and her sister was a nurse. Ive always been attracted to helping people. My mother was a CNA for a while--I think it was in my blood. I also had a hospital stay as a kid with a kidney infection and even though I wasnt home, i liked the environment. I think my desire to help patients and put them first as well has taking care of the families with their questions so they are comfortable is what has helped me be successful. I love what Im doing and I have a desire to make the whole process for the patients and families have their stay go as smooth as possible. I also have a desire to make our floor run smoother and always looking for what we could do better. I have even developed a worksheet so its easy to see what nurse has which patient and also developed a worksheet years ago for a bath list.
