Nia Long BSN, RN, SANE-A

Nia Long, BSN, RN, SANE-A, embarked on her professional career in Surgical Oncology at the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, where she laid a robust foundation in patient care. After this initial experience, she shifted her focus to postpartum nursing, which further strengthened her dedication to maternal and infant health. Subsequently, she assumed the role of Nurse Home Visitor with the Nurse-Family Partnership, offering tailored nursing assistance to first-time mothers and their infants in underserved populations.

 

Fueled by a fervor for women's health, she chose to delve into Forensic Nursing. She commenced this new journey with a PRN position at the Cleveland Clinic, which eventually led to her current position as the full-time Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Lead at University Hospitals Lake West and Tripoint. In this role, she spearheads initiatives to improve patient care and support victims, reinforcing her commitment to this essential aspect of nursing.
