Allison began nursing in 1999 where she worked as a team leader and hospice nurse. She went on to pursue a bachelor in applied behavioral science before going on to Rush University for her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has practiced in psychiatry since 2011. Her experience spans multiple settings including outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization programs, psychiatric consultant in hospitals, and long term care facilities. She began her telepsychiatry practice in 2018.
