Barbara Gallagher Berkovsky, RN is a retired registered nurse currently residing in Melbourne, Florida. In 1996, Barbara attended Northern Virginia Community College where she earned her nursing degree. When she was active in nursing, she specialized in the operating room. In order to remain up to date in her field, she remained a professional member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. Barbara attributes her career success to all the mentors she had along the way as well as her drive and hard work. The main role of a registered nurse is to assist physicians in providing treatment to patients suffering from various medical conditions. They must also stay up-to-date with new tools and technology to help provide the best care to patients and families, and the best support to doctors and other healthcare professionals.
