Lesley Davidson
Lesley Davidson, RN is a registered nurse currently retired from practice and residing in British Columbia, Canada. Lesley retired in 2010, but when she was practicing, she specialized in pediatrics. In 1968, Lesley began her nursing career when she attended Mount Royal University where she earned her nursing degree. Lesley attributes all of her career success to her love of the profession.The main role of a registered nurse is to assist physicians in providing treatment to patients suffering from various medical conditions. They must also stay up-to-date with new tools and technology to help provide the best care to patients and families, and the best support to doctors and other healthcare professionals. Registered nurses must possess excellent communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Registered nurses often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities, where they provide hands-on care to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing and monitoring patients’ conditions, maintaining medical records, as well as communicating with doctors.
