Dena Lewis DNP, AGACNP-BC, APRN, CLNC, is a leading Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Doctor of Nursing Parctice, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant currently serving patients as Hospitalist Nurse Practiioner at Berkley Medical Center and Sound Physicians in Martinsburg, West Virginia. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree of Sceince in Biology in 2000 at Concord University, Dena completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing at Shepherd University in 2005 and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with Acute Care Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner concentration in 2015 at Brandman University, part of the Chapman University System. Moreover, Dena is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Due to her outstanding achievements, she has earned several awards for her dedication to excellence in her field, including being selected to be trained as the Chief of Hospital in the Emerging Leader Program. Additionally, in order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in her field, she maintains a professional membership with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. During her academic career, Dena became an inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Furthermore, she engages in local public speaking, teaching, leadership, hospital training, and other similar activities.
